Usually I would make up a list of books that I really want to read at the beginning of the month. But since I just started this blog, I though it'd be fun to show you anyway.
Despite my best efforts to read every book before buying another one, I still have quite a few books on my shelf which haven't been read yet. And since I am going to order some new books next week, I figured it would be time to start reading the ones that are being covered in dust.

I will admit that sometimes I pick a book from the library over a book of my own. Why? I have no idea. Maybe because I don't really feel like reading it or a book has just been released or because I am nothing but stubborn..
I counted the books on my shelf which I haven't read yet, and the number is 29. Not that bad, considering the fact that I have over a hundred books. There are some series included, so that counts up pretty easily.
Okay, let's get to the books.

Number 1: Percy Jackson and The Olympians series.
I ordered these books on a Dutch website, bol.com, for a really good price. I paid 25 euros for 5 books, all paperbacks and without shipping costs. I love the first movie and I have been dying to get around to reading these babies. I think it was mainly Christine (polandbananasBOOKS on YT) who got me enthusiastic for these books and I also really want to see the second movie and I want to know if the books are better than the movie. Lots of 'and', but hey, I really am excited to read these books.

Number 2: The Host by Stephenie Meyer
I think I still have to prepare myself mentally to read this book because there are so many mixed reviews and I might just still have to get over the fact that the Twilight series ended and that Stephenie wrote something else. I know I am late, everyone seems to have already read this book, but I don't really care. I got it from my sister for my birthday, which was sweet, and it has been staring at me from that day on. It is time to read it.

Number 3 and 4: Catching Fire and Mockingjay(THG) by Suzanne Collins.
I bought these books in a boxset when I was shopping in Amsterdam with my mom this summer, and I still haven't gotten around to reading them. I have read the first one, The Hunger Games, a while ago and I liked it. Then I started reading the second one and somewhere down the road I got stuck and couldn't focus on the story anymore, so I put it down and never picked up again. Now that the second movie Catching Fire is coming out, I want to look like a proper fangirl and get around to reading the last two in the series.

Number 5: The Iron King by Julie Kagawa.
After discovering this book through Goodreads, I immediately ordered it. It seemed like good read, one with a storyline which I would enjoy reading and it wasn't that expensive either. But then it kind of dissapeared between my other books and I kind of forgot about it. Reading the synopsis again, I feel like it will be a book I'll enjoy and I just want to order the rest of the books in this series and make them look pretty on my bookshelf.

This was my TBR list, only five books because The Host is pretty massive and I still have school every day so I won't be able to read as much as I would like. I do hope I will manage to read all of these before September ends and we're flying into October, because if everything works out well, I will be getting quite a few new books at the end of September and I don't want to push these books to the side.

Which book do you have on the top of your TBR pile?
