A small haul: secondhand books.

A couple of months ago, I discovered a small secondhand bookstore in my tiny town. Apparently I had been there before with my sister, but that was more than two years ago and I had forgotten about it.
But after all the stress of a week that was filled with tests, I decided to treat myself on a trip to that store and see if I could find some books to take home.
Of course I brought back some really awesome books and I couldn't be more excited about them!

Stepping into this small secondhand bookstore, I wasn't sure what to expect. I knew that they had some English books, but I didn't what genres, how old and in what condition I would find the books.
But I was surprised once I stepped inside. It had this awesome atmosphere which you can only find in bookstores and there were hundreds of books. Most of them were really old, I found quite a few with those old, vintage hardcovers and yellow pages.
After looking at the two bookcases filled with english books, the shop owner told me that she had more english books. And that is where I found the four books I brought home.

The one on the top is Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie. She was and still is a famous writing, especially known for her mystery classics. I fell in love with the Penguin cover and I might go back soon to see if there are any more of these old Penguin editions. It was only €1.50, so I was perfectly happy.

Then I found Batman Can't Fly, which I pretty much only bought because of Batman. It's about a young boy whose hero is Batman, and after his mom tells him that Batman can't fly, he is determined to prove that his hero can fly. Seems like a fun read and it just looks cute, so I decided to take it home with me for €1,-

The third book is Prudence, which is supposed to be a modern version of Jane Austen's novels. As you hopefully know, I am a big Jane Austen admirer and therefore I just had to take this one home for €2.50

And then I found the last one. Oh guys, you should have seen me when I found this beautiful and in almost perfect condition hardcover of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It still had it's dustjacket and the edges were only a bit worn-off, so of course I fell in love and of course I took it home. It's an american cover and after seeing it on the shelves of so many booktubers, I'm really glad that I have it on my shelf as well. My search for the other six books in these covers continues, but at least I have this one. Plus, it was only €7.50. Amazing.

I will definitely be going back every now and then and I'm just very glad that I have these jewels.
Do you often visit a secondhand bookstore?
